Events are about people and making people comfortable in front of the camera is not always easy. When I shoot an event I make sure I get a diverse selection of candids, posed, and detail shots. I aim to capture the ambiance and the feel and get photos of people at their best. I'm often asked why I am not shooting while the guests are eating and my response to that is that no one wants a camera pointed at them when they are chewing. By being polite, interested, and by sometimes shooting behind the scenes, I always get the shot that my client is after and have yet to get in anybody's way. I come prepared, dressed appropriately, and use a variety of flash and natural lighting techniques at every event. You might not even remember your event may seem even more grand and fabulous in the photos than you remember and that's a sign that I did my job well.
